What time is check-in / check-out?

Check-out is at 11:00 AM. Please let our Reception Desk know in advance if you would like to make an extension.

Check-in is any time after 2:00 PM. If you arrive before 2:00 PM, you can leave your luggage in our locked storage area and enjoy the day in New York, or hang out in our common room space until your room is available.

What documents do I need to stay at the NY Moore Hostel?

You must present valid photo identification upon arrival. A current passport or driver’s license are both valid forms of ID. Please note that we do not accept New York City Residents.

Is there someone at the Front Desk 24 hours?

Yes, we have someone at the front desk 24 hours a day. They are there to assist you so feel free to ask them questions or for any recommendations.

Is there a curfew?

We have no curfew and you may exit and enter the building at any time. We have a staff member in the hostel at all times and our reception is open 24 hours for your convenience. We do have quiet hours in the courtyard space from 12:00 am – 8:00 am.

Is there an age restriction to stay at the hostel?

You must be at least 18 to stay at any of our Hostels. Guests under 18 years old may only stay in a private room with their parent(s)/guardian(s).

Can I change or cancel my reservation?

Guests may cancel or modify their reservation free of charge up to 48 hours before arrival.

Changes or cancellations within 48 hours of the arrival date will incur a late cancellation fee equal to the full rate (including taxes) of the first night of the reservation. No shows will incur the same penalty.

Is there Wi-Fi in the hostel (Wireless Internet Access)?

Yes! We have FREE Wi-Fi available throughout the hostel! You can access this at any time by clicking on the hostel connection and entering our password given at check-in.

Do I have to pay to use the Hostel’s computers?

No! We offer our business center computers FREE of charge! We only ask that you are respectful to the other guests who may want to use the computers as well.

Is breakfast included?

We do not offer breakfast at this time but help yourself to complimentary coffee and tea which is available in our kitchen area.

Does the Hostel have kitchen facilities?

Yes, we have a fully equipped kitchen with a stove, oven, microwaves, toasters, refrigerators, cups, plates, utensils, etc.

How well kept is New York Moore Hostel?

We just went through renovations on the property with upgrades to all of our facilities. Cleanliness is a priority for us and our guests so we pride ourselves in providing clean accommodations. We have housekeeping cleaning the rooms and bathrooms every day to ensure this. Maintenance staff are working to ensure the safety of all guests while always looking to improve every corner of the building.

Where can I keep my belongings? Are there lockers in the rooms?

The rooms are spacious enough to keep your luggage and non-valuable items inside the rooms. There are lockers in all of the rooms, or just outside the room. You will need to bring your own padlock to use these lockers, or you can purchase a padlock for $3 from our vending machines. NY Moore Hostel is not responsible for lost or stolen items.

We have a luggage room available for early check-ins. If you do not need a bag for the duration of your stay, you can store it in our luggage room. You may store your baggage with us free of charge prior to check-in and until 1:00 pm on your day of departure. There is a charge of $10 per day for luggage stored with us after 1:00 pm on the check-out date.
